1.      Sunday Life Service: Every Sunday is a very important day for the Shine Family as we come together to see how we are doing, encourage and support each other and also to join faith in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The main activities for the Life Service are:

 

a.      Bible Studies – we sit at the same level to discuss the scriptures in a friendly atmosphere. Even though we follow a structured scheme of work, every member is free to comment, contribute and ask questions on the topic of the day. There is no pressure to finish any topic on a day which means that participants have enough time to digest any issue before we move on. Got any questions? Bring them on.

 

b.      Intercession – As a church, we are the light of our families, our community, our nation and our world. The time of intercession is therefore an important time in church when we forget about our immediate needs and pray for the light of Christ to shine in the lives of the lost, the needy, the sick, the addicted, the abused, the incarcerated and the hopeless. It is our responsibility and we love to do it.

 

c.      Praise and Worship – With one voice, we declare His Majesty and Proclaim His name exalted above all other names. Our God is awesome and so is our time of worship. We give our all to the One who was and is and is to come. You will love it.

 

d.      Word Ministration – No one ever comes before the Almighty and leaves the same. The word is always seasoned, fresh and uncompromising. The aim is to make you a better Christian and ready to meet your maker. You are encouraged, equipped and energised to take your relationship with Jesus to another level. That is what it is all about isn’t it?

 

2.      Tuesday Teaching Service (Home Cell Bible Studies): At Shine, we understand that a sound knowledge of the word of God is fundamental to a successful Christian life which is mandatory for a successful earthly life. Tuesday evenings provide another opportunity to sit at the same level and study, discuss and enjoy God’s word as a family. Don’t miss it.

 

3.      Friday All Night Prayer Service: The prayer regime at Shine is quite a tough but rewarding one as we believe, that the church of Jesus Christ has the power to allow or stop anything that happens in our communities, society and world at large. Friday night is therefore the time when we meet as watchmen and contend with evil forces and intercede on your behalf for the Kingdom of God to come wherever the sun rises. 4.      Saturday Group Evangelism: One soul at a time, we step out to proclaim that the wages of sin is still death and that eternal life is still found only in Jesus. We bring hope back to the people by making them understand that they are not the grand children of apes but that a loving God created them and He wishes to spend eternity with them if they will accept the offer. That Jesus Christ is the only ticket acceptable for eternity and any other ticket leads to eternal regrets. This is the most difficult thing to do as Christians yet the most important.
