Light for Today
A TEMPLE
AND NOT A DEN.
Saying unto
them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den
of thieves.
Luke 19:46
Jesus our magnificent savior alluded to the
people destroying “this temple” and he raising it up in three days. He was
referring to his body, his death, and his resurrection. He later mentioned that
“the price of this world cometh, and hath nothing in him’ John 14:30b. That is
the standard he has given us.
Our Bodies are the temple of God. He desires
to walk in them, act through them, and loves through them. He above all desires
them to be pure and holy.
The reality for many, however is that we have
to invite the sweet Holy Spirit to come, sweep and garnish our bodies. The
thieves of envy, jealousy, backbiting, selfishness arrogance haughtiness,
sexual lust and pride, to mention but a few, that are lurking in our souls and
body must be expelled from us by the inner workings of the Holy spirit. Luke
3:17a
Would you allow him to do that today? Thank you Lord for my salvation. I admit
there are issues with me that I desire you to deal with in me. Lord do it to
the glory of your name. I receive this
grace now in Jesus name.
Enjoy your day and remember, we love you!
