Light for Today
Righteousness and Fellowship
“Not
forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting
[one another]; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh". Heb
10:25
This
verse encourages us to be in the assembly of the righteous as often as
possible. Some people do not really see the need to fellowship with one
another. However, the Bible is very right in prompting us in this direction.
There are so many reasons why it is important for us to fellowship together.
The Bible makes us know that iron sharpens iron. How then do we grow if we
refuse to fellowship with others? One
typical lesson we learn from staying away from Christian fellowships is that of
King David’s sins. The Bible says during the time kings go for war, David decided
to stay at home and as usual, the devil found work for him to do. He ended up
killing Uriah and also committed adultery.
Fellowshipping
with one another brings encouragement, hope, comfort and other important
benefits to us as individuals and to the church as a whole. God bless you as
you decide not to forsake the assembly of the righteous.
Enjoy your day and remember, we love you!
