LIVE ON THE SUNNIER SIDE OF LIFE.
“The LORD is
my portion,” says my soul, therefore I have hope in Him. The LORD
is good to those who wait for Him,
to the person who seeks Him”
Lamentations 3:24-25
Have you ever met a man
who is so full of life? From his smile, through his gait to his handshake and
finally to his words, he is so full of life.
When this man smiles he
seems to shorten the distance between you two.
When he walks, he does so with a
bounce in his gait.
A meeting with this man
may be like some light. The words that pour from his lips are able
to literally light up you.
When he speaks the word
of God, there is a burning desire in your heart
to hear more. His words are like “apples
of Gold in pictures of Silver”.
You leave his presence
wanting more of the meeting. What is this man made of? Is he of a
different breed?
I believe this is the
man who knows how to live on the sunnier side of life. He knows his God and
knows how to rejoice in his God. He knows that life is made of the ups and the downs,
and has prepared himself for both.
This man takes God
seriously and himself lightly knowing that “without Him, he can do nothing”
This is the man who is full of the fruit of the spirit of God.
There is such a person
as that. Jesus is the best of them. We are all seeking by grace to walk that
way. And we can only do so, if we draw so close to God that he may so easily
pour his life though us. This is possible in my case and yours too.
And may God give us the
enablement that we too may completely live on the sunnier side of life.
