RIDING A COLT

 Matt 21: 5

 
The earthly ministry of Jesus was coming to a close. He sent for a colt and an ass upon which he rode on his way to Jerusalem. Would you for a moment imagine with me how garments were spread on the colt for our lord o sit upon and on the way for the Lord to walk on. See how the branches decorate the path for the lord of glory.Now see the colt move slowly and majestically on the clothes and the branches towards Jerusalem.

 Perhaps finally, listen to the din as the people cried “Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord “What a glory! Have you ever thought about how much glory the lowly colt shared with our Lord? A colt walking on rich clothes and branches spread by men for their Lord; a colt carrying the only savior of the world. Have you?

 Friends, the lord would want to show his majesty, glory, power and beauty through you. This he desires to do as you allow him to ride you, as you allow him to speak through you, and as you allow him to use you. Would to God you would allow him today.

Lord, help us to humble ourselves that you can use us and take all the glory. It suffices us to be your beloved servants and friends. Thank you Lord Jesus.
