HAPPENINGS
BEHIND THE TOMB
Having canceled
out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile
to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the
rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over
them through him; Col 2:
14-15(AMP)
He died in shame but
arose in glory and majesty. He arose in triumph and in a glorified body.
Our Jesus, was
crucified, he died and was buried in a borrowed tomb. And on the third day
he arose. The whole process of his life on earth, the things he suffered, the
trial, the scourging, the crucifixion and the death were all to fulfill a
purpose in the scheme of things for the father God.
Shall we now turn our
attention to him as he spent those awful and yet profiting hours behind
the tomb in the grave?
Whereas the devil
thought he had finished him at the cross, God had the master plan to accomplish
his eternal purposes for us. The devil might be saying, he has finally silenced
him who thought, he could interfere with his hold upon the world; this man who for
these few years on earth has destroyed so much of my work. I am glad it is over
with him now.
Little did he know that
God was only pushing him gradually to his own doom. It must have been very
disturbing for him then, when all of a sudden, he saw him in his territory
demanding that he gives him, Jesus, the keys that are rightfully his.
The word of God says of
him “and having spoiled principalities, and powers he made a show of them
openly, triumphing over them in it”.
Praise God!! Eventually
a stronger man has come on to the scene. He has actually dealt with Satan, who
has been our fear and dread all our life. The stronger man Jesus has even made
a public show of him, parading him before us all, and humiliating him so that
we can be sure that in Christ Jesus, Satan is no match
This is what God wants
to drive home to us in his word. That you and I are more than conquerors in him
Jesus. But it is only for;
“He
who dwelleth in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the
shadow of God Almighty” Ps 91:1 Are you sure the secret place
is your hiding place?
Lord open our eyes that
we may see what we truly are in Jesus ;that we may see that we are no match for
the evil one when we stay glued to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Enjoy your day and remember, we love you!
