A BETTER TESTIMONY

They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.   Titus 1:16

How do you show your relationship with God? Is it by singing out loud, condemning other people or by displaying religious symbols in your house or on your car?

In this scripture, Paul is talking to Titus about the Cretans and he insists that even their so called believers only profess their love for the Lord with their mouth but they deny him with their works.

In Matthew 5:16, Jesus commands us to let our lights shine before men. By this he means that we are required to show our relationship with God by our faithfulness and commitment to our employers, spouses, friends, family and ourselves.

Your Christian life must be a life that is lived in obedience to God’s word without exception and must also be consistent with every good work. For in the last day, Jesus will only welcome those who did the father’s will.

It is my prayer that Paul, our co-workers, family members and friends will have a better testimony about our lives than the Cretans.
