Shine Ministries now located in the UK and Ghana is the heartbeat of Pastors Derek and Selgelia Aggrey-Solomon which was conceived and named in 1995. Pastor Derek, an avid evangelist and revivalist revealed what the Lord had told him years before about his life and ministry to Pastor Selly who confirmed it with a prophecy she had also had earlier.

The two knew there and then that their lives had a divine arrangement and settled down to work towards it. They went on to University and married immediately after graduation. Having not been given the green light to commence full time ministry, they started teaching in England during when they wrote their first book “The Courtship that leads to Marriage”, and supported other ministries on part time basis. Shine Studios was built at this time in Accra, Ghana.

In 2007, Pastor Derek received the direction to start Shine Ministries which focuses on winning the lost to Christ and making disciples for Him by shining His love and light on every soul. He also has the passion to prepare the youth for taking the message of Christ on to the next generation. 

Pastor Derek is an anointed man of God who preaches the clear word of God that changes hearts and sets the captives free. He is a gifted teacher with an unusual insight into the application of the Word of God to the human life. Pastor Derek has also been used to bring healing and Godly counsel to many and he has a great passion for the salvation of souls. He is trained in Social Science (Major in Geography) and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Biblical Counselling.

Pastor Selly, an avid Bible student has a divine passion for the family and is also a great administrator. As an accountant and economist, she is well placed for the physical administration of our offices and she does also speak at our various conferences.

Having taught in secondary schools both in Ghana and in England for many years, Pastors Derek and Selly have a good understanding and great passion for the youth. Their ministry stresses on Christ as the only saviour of mankind, The Holy Ghost and his influence in a person's life, Successful family relationships and purposeful living.  Pastors Derek and Selly are happily married and live in Kent, England, with their son Judah.

Shine Ministries is currently ran by a seven member executive team made up of four pastors and three laymen with Rev. Dr. Robert Ampiah-Kwofi as our spiritual father and a member of various Christian Organisations. We are also affiliated with the Ampiah-Kwofi World Outreach and represent it in Europe.
